MOTORCYCLE RIDE CROSSING ALL THE DOLOMITE MOUNTAIN GROUPS
There are many roads motorcyclists like, but in particular, there is one, which is considered the most beautiful road in Europe, where to ride a motorcycle. This road crosses the entire mountain range of the Dolomites, a one-of-a-kind scenic mountain group in South Tyrol, Northern Italy, on the border with Austria.
Probably you have already seen some photos of the Dolomites that certainly made you dream about riding your motorbike among this beautiful mountain range. But the feeling you will experience being there in person in front of these extraordinary landscapes is highly different even from the most beautiful dreams! You will as well understand why UNESCO has declared the Dolomites a World Heritage Site.
In addition to the stunning views of the snow-capped peaks and lakes where the coniferous forests are reflected, motorcyclists will find here the legendary Dolomite passes featuring thrilling curves, turns, and switchbacks. Some of them are really famous among motorcyclists: who has never heard about "Pordoi Pass, "Giau pass", "Sella Pass" or "Gardena Pass"?
On this tour, you will cross beyond those ones, another 21 passes, perhaps they are less known that their renowned companions, but even so, they are just as beautiful as those much-celebrated. So get ready and let yourself in the real Eden of the motorcycle enthusiasts!
The Itinerary of the tour "Motorcycle ride crossing all the Dolomite mountain groups":
The starting point is set at the Brenner Pass, on the border between Austria and Italy, an easy place to reach from all over Europe. After about the first 50 kilometers you will enter the Dolomites and the great adventure in these mountains will begin crossing 25 Dolomite passes with thousands of bends and sharp hairpin bends (see below the list of the Passes ordered by height). Then you will reach Trento, leaving behind these spectacular mountains and facing the winding road of Monte Bondone. For many years, a famous uphill car race has been taking place on these curves and bends, therefore, you too will have fun riding here your motorbike but remember you are just a tourist, not a racer so do not push hard the gas accelerator!
Keeping on riding your motorbike, some more panoramic points are awaiting. Along the road to Monte Baldo, you will get to a panoramic spot that overlooks the entire Lake Garda offering breathtaking views.
Lake Garda is a beautiful tourist resort, a pearl among the mountains with stunning sceneries, scenic winding roads, great panoramas. Then, the road that will take you back to the Brenner Pass will cross the amazing Brenta Dolomites.
